Mission Statement:

1. To Help Encourage the Hurting
This part of the mission statement has been the focus of my podcast, "The Way Up: Healing Wounds from Church Hurt."  It comes primarily from my experience as part of a high-control, judgmental, cult-like organization.  My family and I went through periods of hurt and trauma within the group, usually from a distorted view of Jesus.  However, after some time to heal I have become stronger and have a deeper relationship with the true Jesus Christ.  I know the message of the Bible is really Good News and I want to share that with others, particularly those who have experienced Church Hurt from people professing to follow Jesus, whether in a similar organization or even a regular church.
2. To Help Rescue the 64
This part is based on the teaching of Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23.  Here He says that "Not everyone who calls out to me, 'Lord! Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.  Only those who actually do the will of my Father in Heaven will enter."  Jesus goes on to explain that many will tell Him about the good things they have done but He will tell them, "I never knew you. Get away from me."
A number of years ago I felt that God showed me that this is the devil's greatest deception - to have people live their lives on earth believing they are going to heaven when, in fact, they don't know Jesus and will be told to get away from Him on Judgment Day.  This has been documented by George Barna, who has been doing statistical studies of the spiritual condition of America for many years.  In a recent study he showed that 68% of Americans identify themselves as Christians but only 4% live with a "biblical worldview," meaning they align their beliefs and behaviors with the Bible.  Therefore, according to Jesus in Matthew 7, 68% of Americans call out to Jesus 'Lord! Lord!' while 4% actually do the will of His Father in Heaven.  That means 64% of Americans will be told by Jesus that He never knew them and to get away from Him.
I believe that many of those people can be reached with the truth and saved from judgment.  This is shown in an instruction from Jude 1:22-23 - "And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering.  Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment."
So that is the meaning of this part of my mission - to help rescue the professing Christians in danger of being sent away from Jesus because they have no relationship with Him by snatching them from the flames of judgment.
