Statement of Beliefs:

• I am a born-again, Bible-believing Child of God and follower of Jesus Christ.
• I believe in God the Father, the maker of heaven and earth.
• I believe in His Son Jesus Christ, who "gave up His divine privileges," "was born as a human being," and "died a criminal's death on a cross," and "therefore God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:7-11 NLT)
• I believe in the Holy Spirit, who was sent after Jesus ascended into heaven and who teaches us and takes us deeper into God's truth, and provides spiritual fruit and gifts.
• I believe the Bible is the Holy Word of God and as a "love letter" from God allows us to know Him and learn His ways of how to live this life.
• I believe as human beings we are sinners and therefore separated from God and in need of salvation. Because of Jesus and His sacrifice, "it is by grace we have been saved, through faith - and this is not from ourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV)
• I believe that everyone who claims to believe in Jesus as Savior must be "Born Again" as a New Creation (John 3:3 NLT) and therefore must show fruit by being "transformed by the renewing of our mind." When our mind is transformed and renewed we can "test and approve what God's will is." (Romans 12:2 NIV) Then we can follow the teaching of Jesus that says, "Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter [the Kingdom of Heaven]" and we will not be told "I never knew you, get away from me, you who break God's laws." (Matthew 7:21-23 NLT)
• I believe that the best life possible, what Jesus called "a rich and satisfying life" (John 10:10 NLT), can only come through following and obeying Jesus. All other ways lead to destruction and sorrow.
